What’s New on Clubhouse: Clubhouse Plus for Women in Business, Networkers & Content Creators
If you’re using Clubhouse to grow your network, build your brand, or connect with aligned women in business or people in general…Clubhouse just leveled up with a new premium option called Clubhouse Plus. Here’s what you need to know:
🔍 See Who’s Checking Out Your Profile
You’ll now be able to see who’s viewed your profile over the last 7 days. While it doesn’t show timestamps, it gives you a clear idea of who’s looking to know more about you. Which opens the door for more intentional conversations and connections.

Add More Than One Profile Pic
You can now upload multiple profile photos and switch them out as needed. Only your Clubhouse friends and other Plus members will see the extras. This is great if you want to showcase your brand vibe, event flyers, or just change it up while keeping some privacy. So far I have tested out 17 photos…I wonder how many can be uploaded?
🔗 Link to Everything That Matters
With Clubhouse Plus, you can add up to 8 external links right on your profile. That means more eyes on your website, social media, YouTube, newsletter…you name it! Whatever fuels your mission. This is a huge visibility boost for women entrepreneurs, content creators, career driven professionals, artists, musicians, business owners, and anyone building their brand.
🕵🏽♀️ Move Through the App in Incognito Mode
Sometimes you just want to sit back and listen without your actual profile being seen in the room. With Incognito Mode, you can now browse and listen to conversations anonymously. This is perfect when you’re observing or exploring new rooms without having to show up publicly. Want to learn more about a religion or political party? This feature can make it easy with no pressure. * (see table for cons)

Emotional Intelligence

Emotional Intelligence: The Game-Changer for Women in Business
Over the past few years, I’ve hosted several conversations on emotional intelligence (Emotional Quotient) with my team, fellow women in business, and at events. Each time, the conversations have been powerful. Emotional intelligence isn’t just a “soft skill”, it’s a leadership superpower that influences how we communicate, make decisions, and navigate challenges in our professional and personal lives.
Women in business often balance leading with strength and leading with heart. But here’s the reality: while EQ gives us an edge in leadership, relationship building, and resilience, it also comes with challenges. High emotional awareness can lead to burnout, blurred boundaries, and the expectation to carry emotional labor that isn’t always recognized or rewarded.
The Pros & Cons of Emotional Intelligence in Female Professionals
✅ The Strengths:
- Stronger Leadership : EQ enhances decision-making, communication, and team morale.
- Better Relationships : Understanding emotions builds trust with clients, partners, and teams.
- Resilience Under Pressure : Emotionally intelligent women handle stress and setbacks with grace.
- Increased Influence & Negotiation Skills : EQ makes it easier to navigate tough conversations.
⚠️ The Challenges:
- Emotional Labor Overload : Women with high EQ are often expected to mediate, nurture, and “keep the peace.”
- Perceived as ‘Too Nice’ : In male dominated spaces, emotional intelligence can sometimes be mistaken for a lack of assertiveness.
- Difficulty Setting Boundaries : High empathy can lead to people pleasing or spreading yourself too thin.
How Emotionally Intelligent Are You? (Take This Quick Quiz!)
Answer each question with A (Always), B (Sometimes), or C (Rarely).
Self-Awareness & Regulation
- I recognize my emotions and understand how they affect my work.
- I stay calm and composed under pressure.
Motivation & Resilience
- I stay focused and motivated, even when I face challenges.
- I set goals and push forward, even in tough situations.
Empathy & Relationship-Building
- I can sense when a colleague or client is struggling emotionally.
- I listen actively and consider different perspectives before responding.
Social Skills & Boundaries
- I navigate workplace conflicts with diplomacy.
- I support my colleagues but also set clear boundaries to protect my time and energy.
Scoring:
- Mostly A’s → High EQ: You leverage emotions effectively in leadership and relationships.
- Mostly B’s → Moderate EQ: You’re aware but may need to refine specific areas.
- Mostly C’s → Needs Improvement: Strengthening your EQ will help with communication, resilience, and leadership.
The Takeaway:
Emotional intelligence is one of the most powerful skills we can cultivate as women in business. It’s the key to leading with confidence, setting boundaries, and thriving in high-pressure environments. But like any strength, it needs balance. Recognizing when to channel EQ for influence vs. when to protect your own energy is just as important.
