Karma & Engagement
Karma measures your platform reputation. Higher Karma increases potential earnings and eligibility. It combines:
- Profile setup and community standing
- Hosting and participation in rooms
- Receiving positive reactions
- Consistency over time
Engagement Karma decays over time, so recent activity matters. Clubhouse Plus subscribers get a small daily bonus for consistency.

Users buy Coins via App Store / Google Play.

Does Clubhouse see my bank info?
No. Clubhouse does not store or see your bank info. Bank details are entered securely into Stripe Connect, which handles payouts and identity verification.
Why could she see her bank balance?
She likely used Stripe’s instant bank login. Stripe can temporarily access account balance and info to verify the bank. Clubhouse never sees your balance.

Gold is not a direct 1:1 transfer from the Coins someone spends.

These requirements must be met before any Gold payout is possible.
Payout Eligibility
Before any payout happens, you must meet all payout eligibility criteria:
- Minimum cleared Gold balance
- Required Karma score
- Verified Stripe Connect account
- Supported country eligibility
- Your account must remain in good standing
Gold Clearance Timeline
Your earned Gold goes through a hold period:
- Pending: Right after you earn it
- Hold period: ~14–30 days
- Cleared: Eligible for payout in the next monthly cycle
When do Coins turn to Gold?
Coins themselves don’t turn automatically. Clubhouse calculates Gold based on Coins spent, Karma, engagement, and contributions.
